ActivePoint’s Control Panel system is aimed at advanced users who want to keep production of their e-books “in-house”.
Unlike many ‘DIY’ style systems, Control Panel is actually software based, and operates from your computer rather than the internet. All the production is carried out locally, and then transferred to our servers when you are happy with your e-book. After much research into similar packages, we found that systems which are 100% web-based can suffer from speed issues if you are in production at peak times.
For publications with a low page count and limited functionality, web-based systems are fine. For larger e-books, or more frequently produced digital editions, we always recommend Control Panel.
Once we have loaded the software onto your system, and trained you fully in it’s operation, you are ready to create e-books!
The system will guide you through the process on a step-by-step basis, and allow you to create and position hyperlinks however you wish. After you’ve created your e-book and you’re ready to publish, it will be uploaded to our servers where you can monitor it’s usage with the ActivePoint stats package. At this point, if you require any extra features we can step in and assist you at any point.
As with EasyFlip and AP-lite, we are always on hand to offer professional advice and support.
Any additional features you need can easily be bolted to a book produced in Control Panel. |
